Hello my beloved Calvary brothers and sisters,
I attended Calvary services when our church was still meeting at Crescent Valley High School. I admit that I was a Jonah for many years, but this Jonah has a changed heart and is longing to serve Him with all her heart.
My parents came to faith through China Inland Mission and I was dedicated to the Lord when I was a baby. When I was 14, I was called to serve my people. My first missionary work was the seven years my late husband and I spent together serving Chinese churches in Japan. He passed away while we were serving on the field.
After he passed away, I went to work with Dr. James Taylor for a year in Hong Kong; but losing my husband was just too hard to bear after that. So, I moved back to the States. I felt I was toiling in the fish’s belly for some ten years. Finally, God’s mercy not only strengthened me, turned me around to follow His calling, but He ignited me with a new heart of love to serve my people again.
I joined Wycliffe Bible Translators and served a fruitful five years on the field. I am about to enter the second term of my service. I am grateful for our Father’s mercy and grace. Please, I would like to encourage you to partner with me to bring God’s Word to the unreached and unengaged people groups.
I am proud to be a part of Calvary family and I challenge you to follow your hearts listen our Father’s prompts closely when He calls upon you to serve His Kingdom ministry.
Due to the nature of her work, communication with Sharon is sensitive. For more information, please email the missions team at email@example.com.
