Ministry Profile:
The Rogers family moved to Brazil in July of 2000 to establish the first Calvary Chapel in São Vicente, Brazil. After pastoring Calvary Chapel of São Vicente for 5 years Tim turned the growing church body over to his Brazilian assistant pastor Celso Nascimento. The Lord was stirring Tim’s heart to reach out to other cities in Brazil. Tim moved his family to Campo Mourao where a new Calvary Chapel Bible College was being established. During the Bible College’s first year Tim helped coordinate outreaches for visiting teams and taught classes on evangelism and missions.

Tim’s heart continued to burn for churches to be established in other cities in Brazil. He and Talisa had frequently traveled to Foz do Igaucu, located only 4 hours from the Bible College, to meet with a small group of believers for Bible study. They are now establishing a church in that strategic city.

The City:
Foz do Iguacu (Igauzu Falls in English and named after the world famous and magnificent waterfalls) is near the borders of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. In addition to large numbers of tourists the area is home to a wide range of people groups including Asian, Middle Eastern, European, and Spanish speakers from all the surrounding South American countries.
