Ministries: Men's Ministry
There is no mistaking God’s heart concerning men. His desire is that the men in the body of Christ would be earnestly seeking His direction for their lives and walking in the plans that He has laid before them. The Bible makes it very clear that men are to be leaders through servanthood and worshippers through the lives they lead.
Here at Calvary Chapel Corvallis there are many opportunities for men to be growing in their walks with the Lord. There are discipleship groups that meet throughout the year, Bible study groups, retreats and many chances to serve in the body.
Discipleship groups
The heart of the discipleship groups is to provide a place for men to build up one another through the study of God’s word. These discipleship studies are intended to be a springboard for those who want to be discipled to grow to a place where they can then disciple others. Bible study groups
Throughout the week there are many opportunities for men to get together and discuss the word of God. There are Bible study groups that meet in the mornings as well as House Churches that meet in the evenings. Retreats
One of the key elements of the Men’s Ministry at Calvary Corvallis is the chance to get away and retreat with the Lord. During the year there are two Men’s Retreats – a Spring Retreat and a Fall Retreat. These retreats provide a chance for men to leave the world they live in day to day and spend time simply set apart to God. Whether you are a mature believer with years under your belt or a brand new Christian you will benefit from being at these retreats.
