Ministries: Marriage Ministry
The Marriage Ministry at Calvary Chapel Corvallis is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to enriching marriages through God’s Word and prayer. You will not find a nine-step program or a cleverly designed scheme of man in this ministry. What you will find, however, is sound, Biblical truth in love. No matter where you are in your marriage relationship, the Marriage Ministry has something to offer you.
Premarital Counseling:
Premarital Counseling consists of a six-week course designed to equip an engaged couple with the Biblical tools necessary to enter into marriage with Jesus as the strength and center. The course includes sessions on purity, conflict, intimacy and prayer while looking at what the Bible describes as men’s and women’s roles and responsibilities in a Godly marriage. Young Married Home Fellowship:
Any and all newly married couples are encouraged to attend the Young Married Home Fellowship. Here you will find that you are not alone as a newly married couple struggling with an issue you thought was plaguing only you. Marriage Prayer:
We are dedicated to bringing all marriages in this body to the Lord in prayer. If you have any need or a praise join us on Thursdays in the Prayer Chapel or send an email. All needs are kept confidential. Please join us in battle for our marriages!
Couples’ Retreat:
The Couples Retreat is held each year in February and is an excellent opportunity for couples to get away together for a weekend with Jesus. Each retreat is intended to provide a chance for husbands and wives to receive instruction and encouragement in their marriages as well as a chance for couples to spend time alone. This February (2007) we will be retreating at Sunriver Resort. Please start planning now!
Hurting Couples:
This is a safe and neutral place for couples to receive biblical truth in love. All counseling is Christ centered and based on Biblical truth and wisdom. If you are willing, God will restore your marriage abundantly above and beyond all you could ever imagine.
