h3. FASTING & PRAYER WEEK UPDATES
Sunday Morning Message (1st day of Prayer & Fasting)
Acts 13:1-4 1 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. 4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.
Sunday Night (1st day of Prayer & Fasting)
Tonight was the first time I truly felt like I was standing amongst family at Calvary. I could feel it was God making us all family.
-Sarah
The girl who got saved this morning ( Michelle 16 )went home today burning in the fireplace any*thing / everything demonic in her journals, writings, pictures etc… She was at church tonight with her hands lifted high worshipping as Ryan led worship! She hugged me tonight…thanking me for what God had done in her life today! She said “it’s amazing how many people have laid hands on me praying for me today(as she smiled)!” Lets keep Michelle & her family in our prayers this week!
Greg Ward shared with me… a word of God being like a farmer breaking up the fallow ground, whistling while he worked today! The joy of the Lord.
He also shared tonight was the FIRST incision of a scalpel!
Tony felt compelled that the LORD gave these verses to him!
*Joshua 7 *
“The sin of Achan…. keeping Gods people from victory because of hidden or buried sin!”
Joshua 24:23
“Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and
yield your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.”
Monday Morning (2nd day of Prayer & Fasting)
This morning began with prayers to God about;
(1) The people of God stepping up! Stepping forward!
(2)We also prayed for the gifts that are lying dormant in our body!
Returning to the vision of the farmer we prayed for the people in our church who like seeds their gifts are lying dormant!
The morning was full of what a joy it is to the farmer to see his crops sprouting & how disappointing it is to be a farmer… whose crops are sprouting every couple of feet instead of every couple of inches!
DORMANCY!
We prayed about how dormancy leads to complacency and likewise complacency leads to dormancy!
We prayed for HOUSE CHURCHES recognizing that this is where giftings are going to come to life (sprout) in our body…to the joy of God (The farmer)!
The morning ended with an EXHORTATION that we need not be afraid to ask God for BIG THINGS…So we finished asking God for God-sized requests, burdens, and a moving of His Spirit!
The last prayer of the morning was for…ENDURANCE FOR THE DAY & WEEK!
Monday Night (2nd day of Prayer & Fasting)
Tonight was powerful! The last two nights in the sanctuary has been flooded with the people of God!
Larry shared a beautiful word from James 5 tonight…
“The heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.”
In 1 Kings 18 we read that Elijah prayed SEVEN times! The first 6 times Elijah didn’t see anything but the Seventh time (PERSISTENT PRAYER) God moved in power!
We are fasting SEVEN days! We need to persist in prayer this week!
If you haven’t yet come EVEN IF YOUR NOT FASTING come join us as we persist in prayer! 6-7AM 12-1 & 7-8 PM
The night went an hour longer for those who wanted to just LINGER in the Lords presence (as Joshua did in O.T.) and Brett led us in intercessory song!
Noon 2/1 update From Missions Pastor Larry Lyon
The prayer chapel was full of people at noon today crying out to God for breakthroughs, and to see chains broken, especially from the grip of complacency on His people. The Lord spoke in several ways, that we had his attention, and that he wants our attention. There is a real sense of powerful things God wants to do. We are not to give up, but like Elijah, keep persevering in prayer. LL
Evening 2/1 update
I have been so encouraged with the flow of our evening prayer times. Last night as we went to groups I sat down in a group where I only new two other people. Predictably 2 or 3 of us were doing most of the praying. Then, as I have heard Rob do so many times, I felt prompted to encourage those who had not prayed to pray and the rest of us to make room for that. (I do think we need sensitivity to never make people feel pressured but offer just the right amount of leadership to encourage.) A young lady who had said nothing so far, offered up the sweetest prayer for her unsaved father. That changed the flavor of our whole prayer time and launched us into a Spirit inspired season of prayer for many unsaved family members. I think it was a very key thing for Kendra.
It was a good reminder for me that my leadership role is to facilitate others who are taking big steps to meet with the Lord and to join in our corporate prayer and fasting. LL
Tuesday Morning (3rd day of Prayer & Fasting)
This morning God showed us His BEAUTY & His STRENGTH! As the women sang over the men in intercessory prayer/song & then the men sang/prayed over the women! Ian sang out from the LORD over us as His people! We ended the morning singing in intercession STANDING IN THE GAP for others, for our loved ones, friends, and family!
“I looked for a man among them who would…stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30
OSU coach Reggie Davis shared a word about a stress fracture… and how if we continue on we will do damage… …The solution is REST & HEALING! This led us all to small groups as we closed the morning!
The prayer chapel was packed with numerous generations all in one accord!
Tuesday Night (3rd night of fasting & praying)
The college & youth of our church are leading the night in the Sanctuary! All our welcome! Young and old! The night begins at 7 in the sanctuary. Come join us as we surround the youth of our church in INTERCESSION!
BELOW IS AN ENCOURAGING NOTE
Just wanted to share a fun God moment!
I am participating in the fast for the full week. This is the first time I have ever fasted, and due to health issues my doc has given me the ok to participate in the form of a daylight fast. I have a box of 52 memory verse cards at my desk (they’re meant for kids, but I love having them on my desk as a reminder/refresher). I have kept the cards on my desk for several years now and cycle through the verses, 1 each week. I got to my desk this morning and pulled out the memory verse card for this week: John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” That was such a fun affirmation and blessing over my, our week! I’ve been reminding myself to look to everything around me as affirmations and confirmations from God, but this felt almost like God popped into my office and left me an actual note! What a great way to start a Monday. Sue Jackson
Tuesday Noon Worship & Prayer in the prayer chapel (3nd day of Prayer & Fasting)
Something broke today!
Worship was intense, and loud at noon today. After several passionate songs the Lord settled us into such a real sense of his presence…Jesus’ presence in our midst. We were singing of being hungry for him and He was the manna from heaven walking among us, touching our hearts, taking our cares and burdens. I wrote in my journal that I was able to hand some things over to the Lord, and it felt like that literally, Jesus was so near.
The prayer Chapel was the fullest it has been with people crowded into every sq. inch… we held hands as we lifted our hands to God (recognizing that we need each other if we are going to live holy lives) we sang “we lift up holy hands.”
The prayer time finished with WORD after WORD as God shared His heart with us as we inclined our ear to Him!
It blessed me to see couple a from our house church meeting up with each other as they walked into the prayer chapel.
Tuesday Night Worship (3nd day of Prayer & Fasting)
God moved powerfully in the time of worship and prayer Tuesday night! There were hundreds of young people joined by all ages in crying out to Jesus through passionate worship. The Lord led us at one point to split up into smaller prayer circles to plead and beg God for REVIVAL amongst the youth of our community and within the campuses.
At the end we sensed the need to stay and linger longer in worship. Isaiah 61:1-3 was read out and a prophecy was shared about the younger generation leading the older generation in humbling themselves and coming forward as individuals to confess sin and be delivered from various chains and strongholds. During the next hour, hoards of individual students came forward to confess sins and receive prayer from the leaders at the front of the stage. There are numerous stories of students confessing sexual sin, pride, unhealthy addictions, and suicidal tendencies and receiving healing and deliverance from the Lord. God is at work in the young people of our church! Last night we witnessed a radical and unique outpouring of the Spirit and saw many lives changed for all of eternity. To God be the glory!
Wednesday Morning (4th day of Prayer & Fasting) PLOWING DEEPER!!!
This morning as we began to worship… we quickly became aware of the Lord’s heart to PLOW DEEPER!
We began to pray for God to plow deep not just 4-6 inches but 6-12 inches! A deeper plowing!
A Word was given about God wanting to NOT just deal with sin but also “thorns.”
In the parable of the sow-er ( “thorns choke out God’s WORD” / Thorns=Things, cares of this world, desire for riches…) & could speak of many other things choking God’s word out.
A word was shared about a bush (like a rose bush OR berry bush) with two or three shovels-full of dirt now dug out around the roots, the worker then tried to pull out this unwanted shrub/ bush with all his strength but was still unable to.
A word was shared about thorns like this need to be dealt with by fire to remove them!
Another man shared he had a dream that he was on fire in his dream last night!
[All of this was in the context of God showing us He is wanting to plow deeper in the work He is doing in us during the week of fasting and in our church!]
Another prayer was prayed that God wants to do a broader / bigger work but He is faithful to first do a deeper work!
We sang a lot as we received & interceded for a DEEPER PLOWING!
A High School leader (Marz)shared how earlier in the week she had been interceding for our high school kids and had felt like God showed her a picture of plowing going on among our high school-er?s and as she saw plowing of fields she saw large rich GEMS being unearthed and turning up in the soil! For this we praised God!
The first night of our fast a leader in our church had seen a vision of God PLOWING but specifically he saw picture of God WHISTLING WHILE HE WAS WORKING / PLOWING! (JOYFULLY PLOWING) we were reminded again of this!
At one point in the morning we were singing about God’s face…When a word was given of us as His people like a child in the lap of his father touching our Father?s face / like a bride with her Groom touching His face!
The Morning closed with Brad C. sharing this vision: (below)
I saw a picture of a man who owned fields, walking through his fields with the Lord. He pointed at one field and said, “Lord, I think this one needs plowing.” He pointed at another field and said, “Lord, I think that one’s okay right now.” And he pointed at a third field and said, “Lord, I’m setting that one aside for something special. I need you to stay out of that field right now.”
I sensed that the Lord was saddened because He didn’t have the freedom to go where He needed to go in this man’s fields.
Then I saw a picture of a second man who owned fields. He was walking with the Lord and when they got to the edge of his property, he stopped. He waved his hand over all of his fields and simply said, “Lord, all of this belongs to you. You can go wherever you want.” Then he turned to the Lord and said again, “What else could I say to you, Lord, but ‘It’s all yours.’ How else could I instruct you? You can go wherever you want.”
Finally, a Word was shared about Naaman the Leper in 2 Kings 5:14 (below)
“Then he (Naaman the leper) went down, and dipped himself SEVEN times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”
Larry exhorted us two nights before to PERSEVERE IN PRAYER THIS WEEK from the story of Elijah …he prayed SEVEN times & for SIX times he saw no results but the 7th time SHOWERS OF BLESSING WERE POURED OUT as a result of his PERSEVERANCE in prayer!
Naaman dipped SEVEN times and was healed!
We are in the middle of a SEVEN DAY FAST… now is the time to PERSEVERE IN FASTING & PRAYER!
Wednesday Noon in the prayer chapel (4th day of Prayer & Fasting)
Persistent prayer/ supplication/ intercession continued this afternoon. Instead of eating our normal lunch-time meal… cries of hunger for God filled the prayer chapel!
I wasn’t sure how to share this, but since it might be a word for more than just me, I thought I’d at least send it to you.
You know about our struggles with sleep over the past couple years. Well, the three nights leading up to Sunday (yesterday) were especially bad. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I could do much fasting when my body was already so exhausted. But I wanted to be part of what God is doing in our church, so resolved to do whatever amount of fasting and praying I could this week.
Miraculously, last night Cole slept through (and if it’s the only time this week, I’ll still be thankful). But at one point in the night I woke up thinking that I’d heard a cry from his room. As I lay there in the darkness, half-awake, straining to hear, God spoke to my heart and said, “That’s how attuned I am to the cries of My people.” Wow. Mothers especially can understand what it’s like to listen so intently for the cries of our children. And to think that’s how God feels towards each of us!
I also sensed encouragement from the Lord that He is blessed by sacrifices that may seem small to us. However people are observing this week of prayer and fasting in our church, He is honored and listening intently to our cries.
Thanks for letting me share…a mom at Calvary!
We sang this song over & over as we cried out in unison!
Your Love Is Strong
by Jon Foreman
Heavenly Father
You always amaze me
Let your kingdom come
In my world and in my life
Give me the food I need
To live through the day
And forgive me as I forgive
The people that wronged me
Lead me far from temptation
Deliver me from the evil one
I look out the window
The birds are composing
Not a note is out of tune
Or out of place
I look at the meadow
And stare at the flowers
Better dressed than any girl
On her wedding day
So why do I worry?
Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need
Chorus (3x):
Your love is
Your love is
Your love is strong
The kingdom of the heavens
Is now advancing
Invade my heart
Invade this broken town
The kingdom of the heavens
Is buried treasure
Will you sell yourself
To buy the one you’ve found?
Two things you told me
That you are strong
And you love me
Yes, you love me
(Chorus 3x)
Our God in heaven
Hallowed be
Thy name above all names
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us wicked sinners
Lead us far away from our vices
And deliver us from these prisons
Wednesday evening prayer & fasting (4th day of Prayer & Fasting)
Tonight everything went wrong & hay wire with the sound system! Today is the mid-way point of our fast & it definitely felt like the enemy was trying to frustrate the MOVE OF GOD! Our Sanctuary was flooded with the people of God coming to the house of the LORD with humility, prayers & fasting!
But God…
Tonight?s prayer groups all over the sanctuary were marked by the sound of weeping! Many leaders testified that people were broken & weeping under the conviction & moving of the Holy Spirit!
All week long I have been privately praying for healing for my voice! Believing like Elijah praying on mount Carmel I am to persist in prayer for 7 days believing God for healing! Like Naaman dipping 7 times in the Jordan River and his flesh being restored like the flesh of a child…I am to believe God for healing these 7 days of fasting & prayer!
(Below is a WORD a woman from our fellowship shared with me before prayer started tonight!)
This was her first night joining us at the church (Wed Night)…Her and her husband unable to fast from food for medical reasons…but have chose to fast all week from (I believe she said) Television, internet, media, coffee & sweets.
They had been reading their bibles together in the evenings & praying unable to join us… This is the Word she shared with me concerning my voice!
Pastor Rob,
I didn’t feel like I expressed myself very well when talking to you this evening. We both knew service was starting.
This is what my vision was. You and Susie were standing on the stage and many, many, of our church family were all around you laying one hand on you and one hand lifted up to our FATHER. We started to pray but stopped and bowed are heads and ask for forgiveness of any sin, so we could be of clean heart, and anyone not believing to please step out while we prayed for your healing.
Then we started praying for total healing asking that you would be healed from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet, we started praying Gods word back to Him and praying His promises and expecting Him to answer our prayers.
He gave me Exodus 15:26…
And He said “If you give earnest heed to the voice of The Lord your God.
and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His Commandments, and
keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have
put on the Egyptians for I, The Lord, am your healer”.
This was prayer to cover our Shepherd, our Pastor because in Honoring our Pastor, and seeking your healing, we are Honoring our Father, by loving and lifting up His Son.
I hope this makes a little more sense. We Love you and you will be healed and I’m going to believe with you for the seventh day!!!

Thursday Morning prayer & fasting (5th day of Prayer & Fasting
He gives beauty for ashes, strength for fear,
Gladness for morning, peace for despair.
The River of God!
1 The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side.
3 As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits [a] and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in?a river that no one could cross. 6 He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”
The Question: Where are you in the River of God! Ankle deep? Knee deep? Waist deep? Swimming?
Picture of the throne:
I saw an image of a beautiful golden throne – intricate and majestic. I sensed the Lord saying that each of our hearts has a throne, and only one thing can occupy that throne. The Lord is to be the true King of our lives. For some, this week of prayer and fasting has become a time for the Lord to take His rightful place on the throne of their hearts. For others, the Lord is already on the throne of their lives, but this week has become a time to clean out the area around the throne – to make sure that nothing has crept in that would steal their affections from the rightful King of their hearts. God desires to see the area around the throne of our hearts swept clean of any debris or distractions.
From Exodus 29 – when Aaron and his sons are consecrated as priests to the Lord
Aaron and his sons were set apart to minister to the Lord.
We have been set apart to minister to the Lord.
Aaron and his sons were brought to the door of the tabernacle, washed with water, clothed in the priestly garments and anointed with oil.
We have been brought to the door of salvation, baptized with water, clothed in garments of righteousness and anointed with the Holy Spirit.
Aaron and his sons had their bodies marked with the blood of the sacrifice and had the blood of the sacrifice sprinkled over them.
Our lives have been marked with the blood of the Lamb and His blood has been sprinkled over us.
Aaron and his sons sought the Lord intensely for seven days as they were consecrated.
We are seeking the Lord intensely for seven days during this time of prayer and fasting.
At the end of Exodus 29 the Lord declares that He will dwell with His people and be their God.
The Lord has chosen to dwell with us and He has proclaimed Himself to be our God.
One person shared:
I had a very vivid and frightening dream last night that woke me from a dead sleep to an actual deep pain in the my foot…as I lay in bed and couldn’t sleep I realized that the dream was God’s voice speaking to me in a deep and convicting way.
I dreamed that a small bee stung me and it was painful for a second or two, but slowly the pain went away until I didn’t even notice anything had happened. As I sat there looking at my foot the sting turned into a diseased, an infected sore and began sinking deeper and deeper into my flesh. All I could do was sit there and watch as the sore was sinking – I was frightened and scared but the sore didn’t hurt at all…very quickly it disappeared under my skin and became apart of my own flesh and there was nothing I could do. It was hidden and extremely scary to have something so foreign in my body but on the surface it was gone. Right then in my despair my earthly parents were by my side – they were both in anguish and tears for me and my state of turmoil. Immediately my mother ran over to my side as my father sat there in stillness and she squeezed my foot with such strength that the sore burst open and was exposed to be an even bigger and more gruesome sore than had sunk inside me. It was very painful, exposed, swollen, and I could not walk…but as the swelling went down my parents rejoiced with happiness. My father just sat there patiently…not moving and looked at me with such an overwhelming love that I felt such freedom from the pain. It took everything in me to stand up and hobble over to my father on my one good foot – but I had to get to him as fast as I could…he held me in his arms and I touched his face as he smiled upon me. Only he could take the pain and sin away from deep under my skin.
Then the Lord God gave me this passage and also made me aware that this morning’s worship would be my seventh worship of the week:
Job 11:13-20
13 “Yet if you devote your heart to him
and stretch out your hands to him,
14 if you put away the sin that is in your hand
and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,
15 then you will lift up your face without shame;
you will stand firm and without fear.
16 You will surely forget your trouble,
recalling it only as waters gone by.
17 Life will be brighter than noonday,
and darkness will become like morning.
18 You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety.
19 You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid,
and many will court your favor.
20 But the eyes of the wicked will fail,
and escape will elude them;
their hope will become a dying gasp.”
God is Faithful to us ALWAYS…beyond what I could even ask or hope for,
Kara S.
After this vision was shared this morning, I believe a sense of the interpretation came to me: (ADAM POOLE)
That this was a larger prophetic word for our church body; and that the sting is sin (as it says in 1 Cor. 15 that “the sting of death is sin”). For some in our body, there is sin that has hindered our walk with the Lord (the pain in the foot), and if not dealt with, it gets bigger and bigger. Perhaps some are to a point where they feel that they are beyond repair. But God is not turned away from us, it is His love and kindness that desires to draw us to Him. The goodness of the Father who desires to expose and deeply heal and restore us from our sin back to Himself as we confess and turn to Him.
On the fifth day of the fast, and while singing “In Christ Alone” with those gathered in the chapel, I found myself crying out from the deep place of my heart that my soul would rest in the righteousness that comes from Christ’s gift, not fasting and attending prayer meetings. Someone shared that they had seen Adam holding his new baby girl in his arms, and he was beaming. Charis Joy was secure and relaxed. A passionate prayer arose from my heart that our church continues to be strong in the freedom and grace we have in Christ and that those fasting would be secure and relax and be free from comparing to one another as we finish the week.LL
After Larry prayed a WORD was given of the angelic realm peering into our chapel stating: An Elder jealous for the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST!!!!
The morning closed with a great awareness of God ONCE AGAIN whistling (with Joy) as he continued the deep plowing He was accomplishing during these SEVEN days of fasting & prayer!
Several more WORDS were given as we closed… about wrong views of our Heavenly Father and grace for failing fathers!
Thursday NOON prayer & fasting (5th day of Prayer & Fasting)
Today we cried out to God for our neighborhood (where the church is / our neighbors) & for our city…we prayed a principle from Acts 1:8 (Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria, uttermost parts of the world).
Starting with our neighborhood (where our is church located) we prayed outward…our neighborhood, our city, our county, our state, our country, the nations!
Today the prayer chapel finished as Jesus taught…a house of prayer for the nations! Mark 11:17 “my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations”!
The verse shared this morning was read again?
Ankle deep? Knee deep? Waist deep? Swimming?
Friday morning prayer & fasting (6th day of Prayer & Fasting)
From Pastor Garry Barrow in Germay (calvarychapelansbach.com/ ) wrote me this. I received it at 6 AM right when morning prayer & fasting was beginning…..just read it @ 8:30 AM this morning!
Rob, I couldn’t sleep last night so I got up and began praying and reading over the reports of the days of prayer at the church. It was 2 am Saturday morning…
The Lord showed me hand fulls of hard dirt clods and spoke of hard hearts and that He wanted to break up the fallowed ground that is the hearts of His people. As He said this the dirt clods turned to dark rich soil. I believe this was a word for the church.
God bless, Gary B.
INTERESTING because what was this Morning Prayer all about? RICH SOIL!
This morning we were again reminded of God plowing deeply! Whistling while He works! We saw visions of dirt clods needing broken up & rocks removed!
We were called to repentance! We laid our selves bare before God! We sang a lot about the HOLY SPIRIT raining down on our lives and our church!
We saw visions of a dark, rich soil being plowed deep, soil so Rich it looked like dark rich coffee. We saw straight lines prepared for a great harvest!
Behind the plow… rocks were unearthed at times…which the LORD was removing from His peoples hearts!
The morning ended EVERYBODY in the prayer chapel stirred on to ENDURE through the last day of fasting & prayer & MORE THAN ENDURE… MANY WERE HITTING A FULL STRIDE WITH THE LORD!
Saturday morning will be the lull before the storm…we will only be meeting once on Saturday DAY SEVEN!
We are believing that Saturday night is going to be a NIGHT OF HEALING at Calvary Chapel Corvallis!
We will be praying for one another, laying hands on he sick, anointing them with oil in the name of JESUS!
JAMES 5:14
14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders. And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.
15And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. 17Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. [I Kings 17:1.] 18And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops. [I Kings 18:42-45.]
SEVENTH DAY
I wanted to share a little something with you. I haven’t been able to go to any of the prayer times this week because of our schedule with the boys and with Jonny coaching basketball in the evenings, but I’m loving all the emails sent out by Larry. I feel connected to what’s going on even though I’m only quietly participating at home. Anyway, today I was folding laundry while the boys danced around to their worship music. Eli’s favorite song came on- The Battle at Jericho. I was thinking of all these words that have been spoken out about breakthrough happening after the sixth day- to press through and see God move on the seventh day. Then it occurred to me that Eli’s favorite part of the song is when they sing, “And the walls came tumbling down!” I realized that it wasn’t until the seventh day and the seventh time around the City?s walls that those walls fell. I don’t know if it was just a word for me and our family to press on in this busy week, trying to participate, but not able to come to anything until Saturday but maybe it?s for others too? Maybe we’re half way around and walls are going to begin falling in personal struggles or marriages… breakthrough then defeat and the victory is the LORD’s!
:) Love you Cindy!

CHURCH BODY – whoever you are, and whatever your week has been, fasting or not fasting, struggling or victory. Come tonight for what promises to be one of the most wonderful prayer gatherings in the history of our church. Read the following email conversations and heart preparations of leaders just today! Pastor Larry
Brothers and sisters
I have not been able to come to the meetings this week as I am recovering from shoulder surgery which many of you have been praying. I have been there in spirit though. As I woke up this morning, I had this sense that tonight was going to be the biggest move of God in our midst since we have been coming, January 7, 1996. Then I logged on and read the emails, and am convinced that God is going to move in a GREAT way tonight. My thought was to come EXPECTING, come PREPARED!
God, our Father, I thank you already for what you are going to do in our body, before it is even done. Thank You Lord for your steadfast mercy and grace. mike g
Very encouraging word Mike.It is great to know you are connected in spirit. I pray God will touch you tonight. I know for me personally I feel very challenged by the difference of believing only what God can do, versus believing what He will do. I pray that we can all come believing what God will do for our body, especially the sick and oppressed and bound ones among us. LL
AMEN Larry. – In full agreement. It is very interesting how many ‘SEVENS’ are coming up. I woke up this morning kind of julted out of my sleep with a picture of four sevens 7777. It looked like an address as they were sort of framed in. It was from a distance then moving really fast toward it and when I got right to it I could see clear and up close and it woke me up. EXPECTING and BELIEVING God WILL move mightily tonight and following these 7 days of fasting & prayer. Our church will never be the same. This is a landmark week. Lionel
I sense that God will meet us too and we may not feel the impact immediately but more then we can even imagine. I was also encouraged by Larry. I know that God can do it but we sometimes get in the way, may God deepen our trust in his completion of what He has begun.
Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform until the day of Jesus Christ:
Let’s also pray like Rob said for a healing tonight.
James 5:13 -15
Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
It is possible to trust God too little but not possible to trust Him too much… Hudson Taylor Rob Baker
Rob & Larry, I so believe that this is of the Lord! Before the beginning of the week I had been reading in 1Cor 12 about the importance of the spiritual gifts in the church body and especially verse 9 which speaks of “gifts of healing”… and then throughout the week during the evening in our small groups I have felt that God wants to activate those gifts for His glory. Anointing Rob daily during this week, and now reading the note from Mike Gerig …Rob I want to encourage you in your asking us to bring into His house – oil of annointing – as this is spot-on! May Gods name be made famous across Corvallis by the works of His hands, and the words of our mouths. Come and see what the Lord has done!! – Rhawn
Brothers and Sisters,
I have been reading all the emails all week and participating in every prayer meeting that I have been able to attend. Like the rest of you I come tonight in expectancy of the great things God has in store for His people…especially in the area of healing. Healing broken hearts…healing broken bodies…healing broken spirits. He can do all…more than we can ask for or even imagine.
I’m writing to encourage and prepare…perhaps for myself more than anyone but I thought I would include you all into my thoughts. We liken pride to possibly the greatest sin of all…I think that one that trumps pride is the sin of unbelief. Perhaps not unbelief in God but unbelief in His power…His true inexplicable power. We know in our head that His power is limitless but what do we know or think in our heart?
Jesus, the Holy Spirit, has limits to His power ONLY in our unbelief. Psalm 78:41 says that “Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”
Lord, come in strength and power tonight. We come tonight believing in You, Your power, Your strength, and Your glory. You have the power to heal the sick, make the lame walk, and raise the dead, both spiritually and physically.
We believe in you Lord! We believe in Your power! We believe Lord that as we come together tonight and call on Your name that you will show Yourself to us in ways that have not been seen since You physically walked the earth. Let our faith become our eyes. We come tonight in expectancy of ALL the great things you have in store for Your people. WE BELIEVE LORD, WE BELIEVE!

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
I was having some quiet time the other morning and wrote down in my journal about not just praying prayers of “sin management” or “nothing bad happening”, but also praying prayers for big things, bold things, God things. I really got the sense for me this week that God was and is still doing radical things that I just may not be able to see…that’s okay…He still doesn’t change.

Saturday Evening Prayer
It is for us to ask the Lord to heal and to believe, it is for Him to do the work. The words spoken by Pastor Rob as he shard that God has led us, for the first time in 15 years at the end of a seven day fast, to cry out to Him for healing and to believe Him to Heal. Pastor Rob with a three year battle in his throat that was threatening his very ability to continue on to preach and speak to our church, God stirred hearts all week to pray for his healing, praying and anointing oil over him every day, and now we would stand and lay hands on him and believe the Lord for the three year battle to end, on this the SEVENTH night of the fast.
Our seventh day fasting and prayer was ‘beautiful’. There was no corporate prayer in the morning or afternoon but the body was alive and active in personal prayer and interaction, encouraging one another and praying for one another.
The evening began with tender worship to Jesus. The songs seemed to focus on the faithfulness of God. Pastor Rob shared how we started the week with no agenda but to fast and pray. He explained how badly his throat has been and that He began the week praying about it. All week long elders had been anointing him with oil and praying over him. On Wednesday he received the prophetic word about Him and Susie standing on the stage with many from the body surrounding them and praying for them. (see word below)
Pastor Rob,
I didn’t feel like I expressed myself very well when talking to you this evening. We were both knew service was starting.
This is what my vision was. You and Susie were standing on the stage and many, many of our church family were all around you laying one hand on you and one hand lifted up to our FATHER. We started to pray but stopped and bowed are heads and ask for forgiveness of any sin, so we could be of clean heart, and anyone not believing to please step out while we prayed for your healing.
Then we started praying for total healing asking that you would be healed from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. We started praying God word back to Him and praying His promises and expecting Him to answer our prayers.
He gave me Exodus 15:26… And He said “If you give earnest heed to the voice of The Lord your God.
and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His Commandments, and keep all his statues, I well
put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians for I, The Lord, am your healer”.
This was prayer to cover our shepherd, our pastor because in Honoring our pastor and seeking your healing, we are Honoring our Father by Loving and lifting up His Son.
I hope this makes a little more sense. We Love You and You well be healed and I’m going to believe with you for the seventh day!!!

Rob also shared a word that was passed along earlier in the day from one of the Elder’s to the others. He began by saying ‘did you know that the Holy Spirit is limited?’ Then he followed up by reading Psalm 78:4. “Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”
Rob shared these scriptures from Michael GrayÕs letter.
Matthew 13: 53-58 talk about Jesus not doing many mighty works in Nazareth because of their unbelief. We have the power to limit God by our unbelief. We also have to ability to believe in the limitless power of our creator and watch things happen that can blow our minds.
Matthew 9:28-29 talk about two blind men beign healed. Jesus said to the blind men, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened.
Matthew 9: 20-22 talks about a women with a flow of blood for twelve years saying…“if only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter, your faith has made you well.” And the women was made well from that hour.
Rob called for those who believed to come and surround him and prayÉbelieving God will heal him ‘in this hour’. The stage was flooded with people surrounding Rob and others pressing in closer. There was a time of repentance and prayer to get our heart right and confess any sin. From there prayers of faith began pouring out from all over as the others agreed with amenÕs and glory to God! Then Ryan Smith sang a new song over the body that he wrote this week I believe it may be called “healing in His Wings”
Rob explained that we are not only believing God for healing for Him tonight but for many. There were 40 groups of chairs circled up throughout the sanctuary and foyer, 10 chairs with one chair in the middle. Everyone was invited to join a circle and who ever was in need of healing whether physical, mental, or spiritual could get in the middle and be anointed with oil and prayed for by the rest of the circle. This was a beautiful time of prayer as the Holy Spirit ministered to His church. We all came back together and ended with worship to Jesus and Giving God all the Glory. Rob shared that His throat did not hurt. Applause broke out in thanks to our Lord for the healing He has done and will continue to do. We will continue to believe God for healing and continue to pray.
Prayers went up for the entire church all week, the unity and community has been stirred in our House Churches and through this week we have been knit together in fasting and prayer. We believe no matter how little or big a part an individual in the body participated, this prayer was for the entire church and even those part of us, yet not with us (prodigals). God has done intricate heart surgery in us all. A landmark week, we shall never be the same.
