Administrative/Executive Pastor
I am a retired professional forester, and emeritus professor who has been redirected by God to serve as a pastor at Calvary Corvallis for this season of my life. My role is to assist our senior pastor overseeing ministries, facilities, finances, and staff. I value relationships and fully enjoyed working for 32 years with people throughout the U.S.A. and in foreign nations to better manage the incredible natural resources God has put on this planet. Now God has blessed me with the opportunity to use this love for people, as well as administrative leadership experience to build ministry teams here at Calvary Corvallis.
I was saved on June 28, 1972 at a home fellowship in Medford, Oregon at the end of my sophomore year in college and embraced my new found faith as a “Jesus Freak.” My girlfriend, Peggy, now my wife of 38 years, was instrumental in leading me to Jesus. I spent the first 8 years of my life as a Conservative Baptist, learning to love the Bible, then received special empowerment by the Holy Spirit that rocked my Baptist world, and greatly expanded my view of God. Each year my walk with Him deepens; prayer becomes sweeter, the Bible more precious, and eternal life with Him more real.
Peggy and I have been at Calvary Corvallis for the past 15 years, where I have served as usher, Board member, house church leader, elder and whatever else God wanted, while we raised our three children. In our spare time, we still grow and harvest Christmas trees and take care of our family forest. Our children, Sarah, Noah and Luke are all married to Christians, and serving Jesus in their daily lives, the best outcome a parent can ever hope for.

I like it when things keep changing. Technology intrigues me.
