Women’s Ministry Leader and Office Manager

BIO:
The Lord got a hold of my heart as a young child through my godly father. During my years at OSU my passion for God and His word was set on fire. The Lord led me to start a Bible study in the sorority where I lived. At the same time I became a Young Life leader commuting to Salem. My junior year in college I met Russ, my husband and the father of our three children. This little college coed really began her education in our first fourteen years of marriage that was spent on a large cattle ranch driving tractor (praying) and vaccinating thousands of head of cattle.

We returned to Corvallis so Russ could fulfill his dream of becoming a veterinarian. During this process he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease and an eight year battle with cancer began. During this time we were introduced to Calvary Corvallis, our first experience with a church that taught the full counsel of the Word of God. Upon Russ’s graduation we moved to Lakeview, Oregon where we started our own Mixed Animal Vet Clinic. We had the joy of working together and seeing the Lord bless our business before Russ passed away. During my years as a young widow I saw the incredible faithfulness of God and learned how to have joy in the midst of suffering.

My oldest daughter Heather is on staff with Calvary Corvallis’s college ministry. Rory, my son is the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Crook County, and my youngest daughter and her husband have served with the high school ministry for the last five years.

Originally Pastor Rob called me to come on staff as the Office Manager and within five months he invited me to lead the Women’s Ministry. I have discovered that teaching the Women’s Bible Study and overseeing our ministry to the women of our church is one of my great delights.
